Yesterday, we had Cheryl give the session on the Charismatic movement and its implications! It was insightful, especially to people who do not quite know what it is about (including myself!). Yes, this happens to be one of the more controversial matters pertaining to our faith, but I urge all of you to be open to reading up about it and finding out more on your own.
If you do not see it in a good light, ask yourself: Why? Is it because of the images that come to mind? Because it is 'Protestant' to be Charismatic? If you find that you are unable to come up with a credible answer to that, I would encourage you to make an effort to read the session notes so as to see it more holistically. We are all called to see ourselves as Catholic, Christian and Charismatic! And we cannot vouch for the third unless we know what being Charismatic really is about.
